Welcome to Summer!  We hope you are enjoying your time & hopefully going on some planned vacations or just staying close to home enjoying life and your family.  The real estate market is still active for both buyers and sellers, however in both Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley we are starting to see some small changes.  While homes that are priced correctly are selling, they are staying on the market a little longer than before. An increased numbe of homes are coming on the market which is allowing buyers more choices, but with the rise in interest rates and the property tax write-off being capped at $10,000, buyers are starting to be a little more cautious.  This month our real estate update includes a section on Montecito. Each quarter we will provide you with an update on Montecito, which also includes comparisons of quarterly activity and comparison with 2017 statistics. It will be interesting to continue following up on the market as we go through 2018.
